DICE still swatting issues in PC version

DICE is finally pushing out a patch for the PC version of Battlefield Bad Company 2. The arrival of the latest patch is being greeted by a collective sigh of relief within the PC Battlefield community, as multiple nagging issues have caused players of the PC version of the game issues since the title was released.

A number of the issues surrounding the problems with the PC version of BFBC2 have centered on issues with the server browser. While DICE does admit that there are some issues, they claim that they are hard at work on enhancements and fixes to the server browser which will overhaul the server browser and address the issues that players have been having. Currently, there is no timeline on when to expect this overhauled server browser to be released, but they are working on it.

The rumors that there are simply not enough servers to service all of the players on the PC side appear to be false, and DICE claims that enough BFBC2 servers have been turned up to handle the player load. As for the issues with stats appearing to not be working or not being recorded this does seem to randomly be an issue; and DICE is still trying to run this issue down and find a resolution for it. The rumor that a number of accounts are going to have their stats wiped appears to be bogus at this time, at least from what we have been told.

While the PC Battlefield community seems to be growing impatient with the need for all of these fixes and how long they are taking, the good news is that the DICE is actively addressing the issues and they are committed to getting them resolved

Well, we are going through a bit of a restructuring/rebuilding phase right now. Jared and I (Pete) stepped aside and welcomed Icecold6k and Freeman to the leadership of KP. This decision was made mostly due to the lack of time that JWO and I have. Also, we felt like KP needed some fresh leadership insight to take it into the next level of gaming!! Welcome aboard guys!!

As always, Freeman is the site's admin. He has also helped take over some of the server maintenance. Icecold will help in any way he can. Hopefully, we can get him up to speed in server maintenance as well.

As far as the games that KP plays, we do have a server currently. It is a World at War server. Although it is always empty, we'd all like to get together and kick some arse on the server from time to time.

Other than that, a few of us have found Left 4 Dead (Raevin included!!!). It has some of the most extreme team work requirements from any game we've ever seen. Best part is the max server size is only 8 people. That's perfect for the amount of KP that game together!!

Some of us still have and play Call of Duty 4 and United offensive as well. I believe a couple still have and play the game that KP was founded on as well: Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I'm hoping that the new site will propell KP into what it used to be!!!
